Now that you’ve learned about the importance of setting professional and impact goals, it’s time for a practical exercise to help you clarify your objectives:

  1. Professional Goals: Take a moment to identify at least one short-term (within the next 6-12 months) and one long-term (2-5 years or more) professional goal. These goals could relate to your career, skills, job position, or income. Write them down and be as specific as possible.
  2. Impact Goals: Consider how your personal brand can make a positive impact on the world. Identify at least one short-term and one long-term impact goal. These could involve community involvement, social causes, mentorship, or any other way you wish to contribute to society. Write down these goals as well.
  3. Self-Assessment: Reflect on the insights you’ve gained about yourself so far. Write a brief summary of your strengths, weaknesses, values, and passions. Consider how these qualities align with your professional and impact goals.
  4. Alignment: Review your professional and impact goals alongside your self-assessment. Ensure that your goals are in harmony with your authentic self. Adjust them if necessary to create a strong alignment between your personal brand and your true identity.
